The Motability Scheme, designed by the government to provide disabled people with cars, is Europe's largest car fleet.

Yet people still don’t understand it. The benefits of contract hire seem too good to be true and there are concerns over its perceived complexity, coupled to a number of past unhappy experiences. We’re addressing both the clarity of communications and their timing (customers were being overwhelmed with information before they were ready for it). This has led to a 40% uplift in response, which coupled to a reduction in costs has improved ROI by 60%.

We have been busy creating a microsite for The Rough Guide to Accessible Britain produced in association with Motability. The guide aims to give disabled people the freedom to do what they want when they want and contains a list of places in the UK that are "disabled friendly".
